I had the honor of presenting at a seminar at the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, hosted by the National Security Council. The seminar focused on the vital role of e-commerce within the Iraqi digital economy — specifically its impact on job creation, supply and demand, and overall economic growth.
In my presentation I worked through the attributes and characteristics of e-commerce, q-commerce, and social commerce, and what each means for the Iraqi market. I shared the projected market size and the anticipated compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next five years, and emphasized the remarkable increase in Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), particularly in the wake of the pandemic.
